Alfred Cove Laundry Renovation
This large home in Alfred Cove had a very small Laundry relative to it’s size. The owners engaged Addstyle to extend the original Laundry into the adjacent single, third-car garage.
Floor levels were lifted, ceilings adjusted, and a large window replaced the garage door. The room was fitted out in high-end cabinetry, feature splashback and timber flooring.
The result is far more than a standard Laundry; it’s an expansive Utility Room which is so nice a space, that the owner retreats there in a big, comfy chair next to the window when she needs some time out.

Menora Heritage Second Storey Addition
MBA HOUSING EXCELLENCE AWARDS – $350,000 – $500,000 – Finalist
This project involved the construction of an upper floor extension comprising of a Main Bedroom with Ensuite and Walk In Robe, a Landing area with Balcony, and a third bedroom with an Ensuite and Walk In Robe.
Street presence was paramount when considering this design and the principals applied to the upper floor extension needed to compliment two separate street frontages, as well as maintaining a high level of detail in order to relate to the existing heritage residence.
Locating the staircase off the Entry gave us the opportunity to include a large void and window with window molding detail to relate to the Entry window. It also allows light to filter into what was originally a very dark Entry.
A complete re-roof was undertaken to the existing residence.
Particular attention to detail was given to the dutch gable ends over the Balcony and west-facing elevation in order to truly compliment the existing characteristics of the home.

Nedlands Second Storey Addition
This project involved substantial works to existing ground floor as well as the addition of a large second storey addition.
The ground floor works began with the conversion of two minor bedrooms into a large Activity room. The existing Entry was also reconfigured to allow for the new staircase with large landing and a new bedroom.
The upper floor extension accommodates two new Bedrooms, a Study, a Bathroom and a Sitting area.
The front elevation was a major factor in the design development of this project with symmetry as well as functionality carefully balanced. New gambrel ends to the existing lower level and the use of weatherboard and new texture acrylic coating, softens the elevation.
A freestanding Double Carport completes the project.

Floreat Home Renovation
WINNER! – HIA Housing Awards: Renovations & Additions $600,001 to $800,000
The owners of this Floreat property wanted a larger, contemporary space for their growing family whilst retaining the character of the original home, the first built on its street.
The renovation included the addition of a luxurious new Kitchen, a Dining Area and a Living Room from which a span of commercial grade bi-fold doors open onto a new decked Alfresco Area.
A new Children’s wing was also added with large Bathroom, separate WC and an Activity Room.
The renovation also included a new Main Bathroom, a Powder Room and a new Laundry.
This project won a 2011 Housing Industry Association award for excellence in it’s price category.

This project set in the Perth Hills involved the addition of a Main Bedroom with feature raking ceilings, a Walk-in Robe and a Verandah to take in the valley views.
Much of the focus of the addition was on the substantial Ensuite complete with freestanding bath; walk-behind, overhead shower, and separate Powder Room
