Tucked into a quiet cul-de-sac in vibrant North Perth, this home has been reimagined to support modern living while making the most of its compact urban block.
The project involved a full ground-floor transformation—extending the kitchen, dining, and living zones, adding a new alfresco and carport, and reworking internal spaces to create a more functional layout. What began as a tired 1980s floor plan is now a bright, open and contemporary space tailored for family life.
Statement elements include a striking steel-feature carport façade, and a Velux skylight that draws natural light deep into the heart of the home. The kitchen and laundry feature bespoke cabinetry in Polytec finishes, paired with a premium Dekton splashback and soft black hardware. A refined palette and clever material layering bring warmth and texture throughout.
The stairwell was opened up and fitted with custom slatted timber screening, adding visual interest and flow while accommodating a discreet under-stair store. In the ensuite, full-height tiling, a walk-in shower with black-framed glazing, and twin basins deliver both elegance and functionality.
Structural work included rebuilding unstable boundary walls, installing deep footings near the sewer line, and retrofitting plumbing to suit the new configuration—all completed while the clients continued living on the upper level.
This thoughtful renovation celebrates clever design and careful craftsmanship—delivering comfort, light, and livability in a tightly held inner-city location.
