Attadale Home Extension

This project involved a considered renovation and extension focused on improving the functionality and liveability of the home’s main living areas while strengthening the connection to outdoor entertaining spaces. The works included relocating and redesigning the kitchen, creating a dedicated scullery and drop zone, reconfiguring the laundry to incorporate a powder room, and constructing a new alfresco with an outdoor kitchen.

A key aspect of the project was the reworking of the existing layout to create a more open and connected living environment. This required extensive demolition and structural modification, including the removal of walls, adjustment of openings and roof framing, and integration of new ceiling forms to accommodate larger glazed openings to the rear.

The kitchen forms the centrepiece of the home, featuring extensive custom cabinetry with Dekton benchtops and splashbacks, integrated appliances and a highly functional scullery and storage zone. Brushed copper fixtures and tapware introduce a distinctive design element, carried consistently through the kitchen, scullery, powder room and laundry.

Externally, the new alfresco area creates a seamless extension of the internal living areas, supported by large stacking doors and carefully considered glazing that maximise light and connection.

The result is a cohesive renovation that enhances both everyday living and entertaining, delivering a practical and well-resolved outcome.
